People with developmental disabilities and their families came together nearly 50 years ago to form Arcs around the nation. Arcs advocate on national, state and local levels to help people accomplish their hopes and dreams for a better life. Through advocacy, Arcs are dedidicated to everyone living self-dtermined lives through innovative educatonal practices and mental health services that promote authentic person centered planning processes.
